Cold store facilities are uncompromising places for both man and machine. Once Magaziner Cold Store equipment is delivered it will live in the cold store environment for the remainder of its' productive life. Our recommendation, for operator comfort, is for a full Cold Store Cabin option to be installed, however, an open cabin option is also available.

The Magaziner Cold Store modification includes - full heated cabin (with triple glazed, argon infused, heated windows), heating element inside the hydraulic oil tank, heaters for all electronics, cold store grade hydraulic oil, night-time power supply for truck while battery is on charge, track-air battery solution to assist in cell circulation, night-time truck jack to prevent drive wheel flat spots.

Cold Store VNA - Derry Group Ireland

Derry Group Ireland specialises in the storage, order picking and distribution of chilled and frozen product throughout Ireland with depots in Armagh, Dublin and Cork.

A few years back their senior management team were engaged in planning for a new 70,000 sqft cold storage facility in Craigavon, Co. Armagh which would have capacity for over 7000 chilled and frozen pallets.

From the outset, Derry Group were clear that they wished to maximum storage density, while allowing for maximum flexibility and future-proofing of their cold storage operation.

Initially, we hosted Derry's senior management team at two Magaziner Cold Store sites on the Island of Ireland, they were convinced but wanted to see something a little more intensive. To that end, we travelled to Bass Logistics in Utrecht, to illustrate how a cold store specification Magaziner VNA unit fitted with double deep kooi forks could maximise the storage capability at an ultra-modern, high bay cold store operation (17 metre top beam).

Derry Group now successfully operate 3 Magaziner VNA Cold Store units at their Carn Coldstore facility at Craigavon.
